Mr President, foreign direct investment in your country is worth trillions, much more than what the rest of the world's governments together state that their citizens own in Luxembourg.

In Luxembourg, cash is king. Over the years, EUR 500 bills were printed as much as in Belgium, Ireland, Netherlands and Spain combined, until printing was stopped this year, but the bills are still circulating. So, don't you worry that your country is seen - and it may be working - as a world centre for money laundering and tax evasion, namely for tax dodgers from other EU Member States? Will you then stop the race to the bottom in taxation, will you stop blocking tax harmonisation in the EU and will you support CCCTB? Why is your Government delaying the VAT reform proposed by the Commission to stop carousel fraud, which shifts EUR 50 billion per year into organised crime, including terrorist groups? Why do you continue to obstruct media in your country from finding out what is going on in Freeport Luxembourg?
