Mr President, terrorism is being financed through tax havens while the EU governments and institutions look the other way. Injustice, outrage and terror are what EU taxpaying citizens feel in the face of the Lux Leaks and Swiss Leaks revelations.

Will the Council and the Commission finally act against this terror? No other strategy against terrorism will work if we do not ditch the blind austerity that has been strangling growth in Europe and fuelling unemployment, social exclusion and the nihilist ideology driving young Europeans to fight with Daesh - and training closer than ever now in Libya. Terror and destruction is what the Greeks, and the EU, will face if a negotiated solution is not found urgently to enable the Greeks to breathe and to work to pay debts.

Last but not least, terror is what the Ukrainians are facing. We do not simply want old Europe and old Russia negotiating over Ukraine. Out of Minsk we want peace for all of Europe.
